UNOM recognized guides at ICMR-NIE
Candidates must be willing to work in areas of expertise available at ICMR-NIE.
Applications will be screened for eligibility as per University guidelines. Eligible candidates will be called for personal discussion at ICMR-NIE.
While appearing for the personal discussion the candidates have to bring attested copies and originals of the relevant documents (Mark sheets and passing certificates of higher secondary examination i.e. 10 +2 onwards, proof of date of birth and JRF award certificate, if applicable). No TA/DA will be paid for attending the personal discussion. ICMR – NIE Academic Committee will also assess requirement for additional course work in research methods on a case-to-case basis.
Candidates short-listed after personal discussion should submit their PhD research proposal for review by ICMR-NIE Academic Committee
The decision of the ICMR-NIE Academic Committee / Director, ICMR-NIE will be final and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard. The decision the Director, ICMR-NIE to assign PhD guide/co-guide will be final. Canvassing in any form and/or bringing in any influence will mount to disqualification. Candidates should note that non-fulfillment of the eligibility criterion will result in cancellation of candidature at any stage of PhD programme.
Research proposals approved by ICMR-NIE Academic Committee should be submitted for review and approval by ICMR-NIE-Institutional Ethics Committee (Academic).
Candidates should apply for the Eligibility Certificate to UNOM in stipulated time as per University
guidelines. PhD registration is subject to approval of Eligibility Certificate by UNOM.
After obtaining Admission letter from UNOM and joining at ICMR-NIE, PhD Scholars should apply for provisional registration to UNOM in stipulated time as per University guidelines.
